New York Street Style
Like T.O. New York is all over the 90s right now. It was crazy walking into hip boutiques and hearing Smashing Pumpkins and straight up, Alice In Chains, no joke.
Anyway, this dame was doing everything pretty much to the letter in Soho, on this sunny Friday afternoon.

i love troy :3
It’s now time for that part during a move where I start counting the number of zip codes I’ve had in the past year and a half like some sort on mantra that will magically be reflected in my bank account. It’s time to queue the Damien Rice and sadder, slower Gaslight Anthem and stare at empty boxes and wonder what the FUCK am I doing with my life.
This is when I try not to remember just how much I’ve borrowed from my parents, or how scared I am, or the job that owes me a little over 3 grand. This is when I push Jordan away and cry by myself because this is still one of those things I’m still not very good at doing together.
For once in my life, things were coming together: a job in my field, a small place I could more than afford, a new town to start fresh in
and now I don’t have any of that anymore.
This is an enormous chain and I’m sorry, but I need to say this:
The laws in the Old Testament were set forth by god as the rules the Hebrews needed to follow in order to be righteous, to atone for the sin of Adam and Eve and to be able to get into Heaven. That is also why they were required to make sacrifices, because it was part of the appeasement for Original Sin.
According to Christian theology, when Jesus came from Heaven, it was for the express purpose of sacrificing himself on the cross so that our sins may be forgiven. His sacrifice was supposed to be the ultimate act that would free us from the former laws and regulations and allow us to enter Heaven by acting in his image. That is why he said “it is finished” when he died on the cross. That is why Christians don’t have to circumcise their sons (god’s covenant with Jacob), that is why they don’t have to perform animal sacrifice, or grow out their forelocks, or follow any of the other laws of Leviticus.
When you quote Leviticus as god’s law and say they are rules we must follow because they are what god or Jesus wants us to do, what you are really saying, as a Christian, is that Christ’s sacrifice on the cross was invalid. He died in vain because you believe we are still beholden to the old laws. That is what you, a self-professed good Christian, are saying to your god and his son, that their plan for your salvation wasn’t good enough for you.
So maybe actually read the thing before you start quoting it, because the implications of your actions go a lot deeper than you think.

People say that when someone says something like that, it’s because they’re jealous. But it still hurts. It hurts bad.

So much has been written about those few words at the end that Bob whispers into Charlottes’ ear. We can’t hear them. They seem meaningful for both of them. Coppola said she didn’t know. It wasn’t scripted. Advanced sound engineering has been used to produce a fuzzy enhancement. Harry Caul of The Conversation would be proud of it, but it’s entirely irrelevant. Those words weren’t for our ears. Coppola (1) didn’t write the dialog, (2) didn’t intentionally record the dialogue, and (3) was happy to release the movie that way, so we cannot hear. Why must we know? Do we need closure? This isn’t a closure kind of movie. We get all we need in simply knowing they share a moment private to them, and seeing that it contains something true before they part forever.
